Launch of the Interactive Public Lecture Series

The University of Belgrade is organizing a series of interactive public lectures focused on the topic of global health. The goal of these lectures is to make the general public more aware of the issues of global health, and to disseminate some key findings from the global health Knowledge Hubs beyond the Circle U. academic community.

With participants from all Circle U. universities and live streaming of the Public Interactive Lecture Series on Global Health, the aim is to reach a wide audience.

– More than ever, students across many academic disciplines, as well as the public, need to be introduced to a wider perspective and raise awareness of cultural sensitivity regarding global health issues. The recent COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the fragility and shared experiences of populations and public health systems worldwide, underlying the importance of the global health approach, says Professor Matejic, School of Public Health and Health Management, University of Belgrade.

A modern global health perspective to citizens and society

The lecture series aims to present a modern global health perspective to citizens and society motivating them to get more involved in this topic. The audience will have the opportunity to explore current global health issues and understand that all these problems require cooperation, coordination, and exchange of ideas.

– The main objective is to make the audience aware of global interconnectivity and to learn from experiences and examples of good practice, says Professor Matejic.

These are the panellists

Professor Matejic gives us an insight into the program and who we will meet at the first lecture:
