Exploring the Concepts, Causes, and Consequences of Corruption

At the workshop participants will present draft working papers or a chapter from their PhD on corruption. Papers discussing concepts or examining causes or consequences of corruption are invited.

Over the 2 ½ days of the workshop participants will present their work, and receive feedback from the academic coordinator and the participants. The workshop will likely include one or more contributions from external practitioners. Furthermore, the participants will be introduced to the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University, which is ranked number 3 in Europe and number 11 worldwide in the discipline.

The feedback and discussion will follow the intensive ECPR session format with approximately one hour allocated to each paper allowing time for presentation, the lead discussant, and open discussion. All participants are expected to provide comments. While a joint publication is not guaranteed, we will discuss the possibility.

Approximately one month before the workshop, a virtual introduction to the workshop will be held, and participants are expected to circulate their drafts two weeks ahead of the workshop.
