After growing up in Canada and Germany, Alexander Clarkson completed his doctorate in History at the University of Oxford. He joined the European & International Studies Department at King’s College London in 2007. Alexander’s research and teaching focus on the impact of diaspora politics as well as how the militarisation of the EU border system affects the EU’s relationship with neighbouring states in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
