University of Belgrade

The University of Belgrade is the oldest university in Serbia, founded back in 1808. Today, it is a research-intensive university, and one of the largest and globally best ranked universities in the SEE and Mediterranean region.

It is a comprehensive university, comprised of 31 faculties and 11 research institutes, with an extensive offer of programs and degrees: 426 study programs covering all areas of engineering, natural sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities, of which 99 undergraduate, 182 master, 94 doctoral degrees, as well as 42 professional specializations and 9 integrated master degrees. The University offers a  wide variety of study programs in English. All study programs at the University of Belgrade have been harmonized with the principles of the Bologna Declaration. As of 2019, the University of Belgrade participates in Erasmus+ as a HEI from a program country.

The University of Belgrade has a long tradition in academic exchange and has so far built an extensive cooperation with numerous HEIs around the globe in the field of scientific research, within numerous international educational and research programs.

It is located in Serbia's capital – Belgrade, an exceptionally vibrant and outspoken city, with a reputation of a regional hot-spot of culture, entertainment and nightlife, with a large expat community, ranging from students to business and industry professionals, that makes much of the city’s content inclusive for English speaking visitors.
